Security tips for using internet trading platform

When you receive your pin notification, please change your PIN immediately after you log in for the first time. Please discard your PIN notification right after you have finished internet trading operation for the first time.

Never disclose your personal account or security details such as account number, PIN or security code to others. (Our staff will never ask you for your PIN at any time.)

Never write down or record your PIN without covering it.

Please change your PIN from time to time. For example, you may change it at least every 30 days.

Set a strong password. Please select PINs with not less than 8 digits of letters or numbers. A PIN in combination of letters and numbers will be far harder to be guessed by anyone. Do not be tempted to use passwords that can easily be guessed e.g. your ID number, telephone numbers, birthday,

Properly safeguard your login ID and password.

Closely monitor your online accounts by reviewing trade confirmations.

Type the website address (URL) or use a bookmark to enter the broker’s website.

Don’t leave your computer idle when you are using internet trading.

Remember to log out and close the browser after you have finished using internet trading.

Don’t use public computers or unknown and unsecure networks to access your online accounts.

Make sure your computer (especially its operating system and browser) is secure and well protected from virus or any malicious computer programme such as Trojan Horse.

Ensure the security of computer/mobile devices used for online trading by installing and regularly updating your computer programme with security patches and anti-virus software.

Installation of personal firewall may be considered for detecting or avoiding any unauthorized access and uses.

The operation of your internet trading account will be suspended temporarily if you fail to log in by entering wrong PINs for 3 times.
