a corporate citizen, Delta Asia actively participates in the
communities we serve. Our success as a company is woven from
the same fabric as the community. Our success as a company
is forever linked to the success and health of the communities
we serve.
By
providing financial support and assistance - for education,
the arts, health and human services, affordable housing, economic
development and other needs identified by community leaders
- Delta Asia helps promote and contribute to economic and
social progress.

community programme includes a wide range of activities, including:
Education
Delta
Asia considers its support of educational excellence one of the soundest investments it can make - firmly believing that
a
well-educated citizen is essential to the community's
economic progress and improvement in quality of life. Education
is key to the success of individuals, the corporations in which
they work and the society in which they live.
The
Delta Asia Student Quiz Contest is a popular annual event,
founded by Delta Asia with support from the Macau Education
Department in 1990, for the major high schools in the territory.
The
15th Student Quiz Contest in 2004 received overwhelming response
from students. About 1600 students of 386 teams from 25 schools
competed fiercely in the different rounds of contest with
the winners well deserve the honour as the cream of Macau's
students.
Community
Service
Activities
include:

Staff
visits to non-profit making organizations in Macau and
Hong
Kong, such as the Hong Kong Blind Union and the Centre for
Handicapped Children "Nossa Senhora da Penha"
in Macau.

Active participation and contribution to the Charity Walk
to One Million, organised annually by local associations,
aimed
at raising funds to help various welfare and charity organisations
in Macau.

Visit
and donation of blood by staff to the Macau Blood Transfusion
Centre.
- Donations
to local schools and several associations such as The Macau
Association for the Mentally Handicapped and International
Ladies Club of Macau.
Economic
Development
Activities
include:
- Taking
part in the establishment of the Small
and Medium Enterprises Association of Macau. Delta Asia
has been working hand in hand in this project, aimed at
improving management quality, promoting co-operation, offering
counsel and organising trade-related activities in support
of SME's in Macau.
